These are trying times that we are in, and the only real protection is in
Jesus Christ and resting in the shadow of his wings. Here is Psalms 91:
Trusting Him with all of our hearts resting totally on His Lordship. and if
are a Christian one that is saved, saved the reason I put saved twice
because many just say the prayer of acceptance to have the Lord Jesus come
into their lives but they never pursue further but they go back to their old
ways and when a person is really saved, saved is that they hunger and thirst
for everything that is of the Lord Jesus and they follow hard after him and
their lives are changed into a new person even as 2 Corinthians 5:17 says
17 Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a
new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and
spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold the fresh and new has come!
Now let us look at Psalms 91 this is the way I say it every day, it is a
protection that we can run into.
1 Because I dwelling in the secret place of the Most High I shall remain
stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can
withstand].
2 I will declare of You Lord, You are my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on
You I lean and rely, and in You I [confidently] trust!
3 For [then] You will deliver me from the snare of the fowler and from the
deadly pestilence. [I thank You so much that You snatch me out from the grip
of the evil one and You keep me safe from the deadly Diseases.
4 Thank You for covering me with His pinions, and under Your wings shall I
trust and find refuge; Your truth and Your faithfulness are my shield and a
buckler. [this is the place where you consecrate on the full Armor of God
Almighty]
5 I shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow (the
evil plots and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day,
6 Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction and
sudden death that surprise and lay waste at noonday.
7 A thousand may fall at my side, and ten thousand at my right hand, but it
shall not come near me. [stop and really give thanks]
8 Only a spectator shall I be [myself inaccessible in the secret place of
the Most High] as you witness the reward of the wicked. [Right here I think
about a ball game that I am watching I am not in it but I am watching each
play, and yet if my team wins I scream we won, even though I did not
participate in it]
9 Because I have made You Lord my refuge, and You Most High my dwelling
place,
10 There shall no evil near me, nor any plague or calamity come near my tent
11 For You will give Your angels [especial] charge over me to accompany and
defend and preserve me in all my ways [of obedience and service]. [This is a
place to really thank the Lord God Almighty for sending his angels to keep
you wherever you go]
12 They shall bear me up on their hands, lest I dash my foot against a stone
[Then I think of a vision the Lord gave me while I was meditating. I saw
myself out on our drive way and there was an offense there I started
stumbling down the driveway and out of now where there was a man coming so
fast and picked me up and carried me back up where I started to stumble. And
I said so that is how the angels pick us up on their hands like You said in
Psalms 91]
13 Thank You Lord for giving me the power to tread upon the lion and adder;
the young lion and the serpent shall I trample underfoot. [Then I think of
the word in Luke 10:19
Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and
scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power
that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you].
Now here is what the Lord God Almighty says to us.
14 Because you has set your love upon Me, therefore will I deliver you; I
will set you on high, because you knows and understands My name [has a
personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness--trusts and relies on Me,
knowing I will never forsake you, no, never].
15 You shall call upon Me, and I will answer you; I will be with you in
trouble, I will deliver you and honor you.
16 With long life will I satisfy you and show you My salvation.
Here is where I get into thanksgiving and really give praises and honor to
our Lord God Almighty for His protection and His love for me.
You see each one of us can make Psalms 91 personal and I think about Psalms
50:23
He who brings an offering of praise and thanksgiving honors and glorifies Me
and he who orders his way aright [who prepares the way that I may show him]
to him I will demonstrate the salvation of God.
Salvation means healing, deliverance, victory, and much more. Our Lord Jesus
Christ who is the Lord God is honored and glorified when we give him total
surrender to His Holy Spirit
Now can you see how you can be hidden in the secret place? That is your
spirit man, another scripture that comes to my mind is
Proverbs 18 The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the [consistently]
righteous man [upright and in right standing with God] runs into it and is
safe, high [above evil] and strong.
Be Blessed today in our Lord Jesus Christ, and if you have never given your
life over to Jesus Christ this is a good thing to do right now.
Father I thank you for sending your Son to die for me on a cruel cross for
my sins and I accept that sacrifice and now I ask you Jesus Christ to be my
Lord and Savior and I will confess you with my mouth that you are my Lord, I
surrender now to you Holy Spirit and thank you for coming into me and making
me a brand new person. Amen
